To help ensure that no matter what the situation is, children will have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, USDA has extended free meals for children through the end of the 2020/2021 school year, or until funding runs out.
All schools will serve free meals in the school cafeteria. The meals will be served based on current serving schedules already established at each school site. Online and at-home learners may pick up meals at specific times and locations designated by each school.
Children must be present to receive meals.
Only children are eligible for free meals under this waiver.

Heading into the winter months with the potential for rain and snow, we want to make sure our curbside meal service remains safe. To maintain proper food temperatures and to help keep everyone safe in the meal delivery and pickup process, we are implementing some minor changes.
Beginning Monday, November 2, 2020, parents who normally pick up meals ‘curbside’ will be asked to park and then walk to a designated meal service door at the school to receive meals.
This change will take place at our three current ‘curbside’ meal service locations:
- Joel P. Jensen Middle
- Elk Ridge Middle
- South Hills Middle
Meal service at these three locations will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Lunch will be available for online and in-person students to pick up on Fridays. Any registered Jordan District student may pick up lunch from any school.
